Green schools news

The Green Schools Committee in Mahoonagh N.S  is currently working on their SEAI ( Substainable Energy Authority of Ireland) project called ” Saving Energy at School”. The team will represent the school in the regional finals in Limerick in February. a video and power point presentation are being prepared for the event. We at school are doing simple everyday things such as closing doors, turning off switches, turning off lights to conserve energy. we continue to reduce, reuse and recycle. we monitor for dripping taps and we encourage pupils to carpool to school. Our school garden while now is hibernating will be a haven of blossoms and mini beasts in summer. Our motto is by doing simple energy saving  tasks we can all help to the climate change crisis.
